Manufacturer of fully automatic paraffin slicer: What is the difference between a frozen slicer and a paraffin slicer?
Freezing slicer and paraffin slicer are different pathological instruments, so what is the difference between freezing slicer and paraffin slicer? The manufacturer of the fully automatic paraffin slicer will take you to take a look together
The frozen slicer, also known as the frozen slicer, is mainly used for rapid diagnosis, such as intraoperative rapid pathological sectioning, pharmaceutical research and development, inspection and quarantine, etc. After the sample is delivered to the pathology department or laboratory, the staff directly use a frozen slicer to quickly complete the embedding and freezing sectioning work, and then complete the sectioning through a series of operations such as staining, observe under a microscope, and obtain a report.
Before the paraffin slicer works, it is necessary to use a dehydrator to dehydrate and transparent the sample, and then use a paraffin embedding machine for embedding before starting the slicing operation.
The main differences between the two are as follows:
1. Time requirement: The use of a frozen slicer requires speed, while a paraffin slicer has relatively lenient time requirements. Frozen sections generally require a report to be produced within 30 minutes, while paraffin sections typically take around 3-7 days to produce a report.
2. Sample requirements: The use of a frozen slicer has strict requirements for samples, but a paraffin slicer has no specific requirements for samples. Almost all biological samples can be operated using a paraffin slicer.
3. Slice preservation time: The tissue structure of the slices made by the paraffin slicer is well preserved, able to cut continuous thin sections, with clear tissue structure, accurate antigen localization, and can be stored for a long time. The slices made by the frozen slicer can preserve the immune activity of various antigens relatively well, and can only be stored at low temperatures for a short period of time.
4: Performance parameter requirements: Two products, two performance parameter requirements.
